Why hire a car?
Some holidays need a car - some villas are a bit off the beaten track, which gives them the seclusion and countryside that people expect from beautiful villas. Hiring a car means you can drive out to your villa, avoiding costly taxi charges or public transport, and then you're free to drive round visiting sites and other resorts at your own pace and not worrying about having to catch the last bus back.
It adds a new dimension to a holiday if you're able to drive about and explore an area means you'll see places off the tourist track and see the real country.

How do you find your pickup location?
Use either the City / town name or full postcode / zipcode of where
you're going.
Flight number (including letters e.g. BA123
All cars come with power steering, electric front windows, airbags,
ABS, central locking. Pick from manual or automatic.
Most cars are petrol but they do have some diesel vehicles available.
Pick from small, medium or large cars.
When you make a booking in the UK Avis's quote includes:
• The cost of the actual vehicle, including unlimited mileage
(in some countries this may be capped)
• Vehicle licence fee
• Any City or airport surcharge (an additional charge at premium
locations where the rent is higher)
• VAT (or other applicable taxes if you’re renting outside
the UK)
• Vehicle Damage Cover (excess applies)
• Vehicle Theft Cover (excess applies)
What's not included:
• Fuel – You’ll have to pay for your petrol! You can pay for a tank of fuel when you pick up the car - this saves you having to go and get some straight away. You'll only be charged local prices for it. They also do a Pay On Return which is more suited to people only using a small amount of petrol.
• Additional drivers – Only the driver named on the rental agreement is covered as standard, but is it possible to add extra named drivers for £23.50 per driver (per car hire rather than per day)
Child and booster seats are bookable online and then included in the price quoted (£5.88 for a booster and £23.50 for a seat in the UK).
Other products to consider are Premier Cover (or the similar Super Damage Cover in many countries outside the UK), which reduces your excess, and sat nav (from major US, UK and European locations).
